Kate Littlefield, Head of Institutional Advancement


Kate Littlefield is a results-oriented fundraising leader with 17 years of experience driving revenue growth and organizational advancement at non-profits throughout New York City. She joined the Scratch Foundation as its Head of Institutional Advancement in March 2024 and is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission by leading fundraising and donor relations strategies, and supporting strategic partnerships. Over her career, Kate has raised millions for youth development and education programs, environmental justice, community empowerment initiatives, and increasing access to arts and culture for all. The majority of her recent experience has been within New York City’s cultural institutions, growing and managing diverse funding portfolios, including corporate sponsorships and public and private.

Before her role at the Scratch Foundation, Kate served as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI), where she designed, implemented, and managed comprehensive fund development plans, collaborating with key stakeholders to advance the institution’s mission and vision.

Kate’s career has also included management roles at the Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS), the Brooklyn Museum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kate has served on the Children’s Institute of Fashion Arts (CFA) board and is currently involved in various community and arts initiatives.

Kate holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College. She was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and moved to New York in 2006. Kate lives in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
