Scratch Day Info Session

Scratch Day is a global network of events where people gather to celebrate ScratchJr and Scratch, the free creative coding platform and online community. Scratch Day events bring together kids, families, educators, and collaborators from the Scratch and ScratchJr communities to welcome newcomers, share projects, and learn from each other. Join the Scratch Team at this information session, where we will share our Organizer Toolkit that provides ideas and inspiration for how you might host your Scratch Day. We will also be joined by special guests, who will share their own ideas and strategies for hosting a creative, fun, and welcoming event!

Please note: You must be 18 years old or older to register and join this session. If you are under 18, you may join if a parent or guardian registers and attends with you.

Create Anytime, Anywhere with OctoStudio

Join us for “Create Anytime, Anywhere with OctoStudio,” a Scratch in Practice (SiP) session that explores the creative possibilities of this free mobile coding app developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group (LLK) at the MIT Media Lab, our long-time Scratch Partner. OctoStudio enables young people to use mobile phones or tablets to create interactive animations and games by taking photos, recording sounds, and bringing them to life with coding blocks. In this session, we’ll collaborate on projects and discover how OctoStudio empowers young creators to share their stories and games with family and friends anytime, anywhere. Don’t miss this chance to learn and create with us!
